First Session
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where they feel safe to share at their own pace. My priority is to understand what brings you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where they feel safe to share at their own pace.
We’ll spend time discussing current concerns, relevant history, and how symptoms are impacting daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. I also focus on identifying strengths, coping strategies you already use, and what has or hasn’t been helpful in the past.
Together, we’ll begin to outline initial goals for therapy, such as reducing anxiety, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, or increasing self-understanding. Clients often leave the first session with a clearer sense of direction, increased insight, and reassurance that they don’t have to navigate challenges alone.
Sessions are available online and in person with flexible daytime, evening, and weekend appointments.
